Design-Handcraft Custom Furniture

I offer a lot of different products, beds, chairs, all types of tables and hutches. I have been designing and build furniture for 30 years. I specialize in minimalist Shaker Furniture. You can browse through my web pages to see some of what I offer, I am constantly adding product photos. I have been designing residential interiors for twenty-five years. I am really good at working with a client, designing a product which will eventually become a family heirloom.

I do full shop drawings on AutoCAD. The drawings work well for the customer to see what is involved in the product, also gives the client a drawing which shows what I will be building. The process can be done over the phone, and through email or if you live close, I can meet you at your home.

Wood Choice

I work on Pine, Poplar, Oak, Ash, Cherry, Maple, Tiger Maple, Mahogany, Teak and other fine woods. Anything is possible. I enjoy natural wood projects, with a Tung Oil Finish or Linseed Oil and Varnish Finish. This allows the character and color of the wood to shine.

Finishing

I do some refinishing. My products are offered in a sprayed-on Finish or a Wiped-on Finish. I send samples to the client before the finish process begins.

Designing Furniture

I have designed and built furniture for 30 years, before I started building Casework and Millwork. I design all types of furniture, specializing in Shaker, Primitive, Classic Modern, Sheraton, Chippendale. I am an excellent designer and can bring your project to reality. I design in AutoCAD, and can do a 3d drawing if client would like, most of my drawings are done in 2d with Front, Side, Top and Sectional Views.

Benchwork/Crafting Your Project

I apprenticed under my father Jack. He could build a piece of furniture with a bandsaw and hand tools. Fortunately, I was interested in crafting and assembling projects at a young age, learning the trade from an 18th century level.
