I use Milk Paint on most of the furniture I hand craft. The Milk Paint has a hand brushed appearance and is environmentally friendly. I use a Tung Oil over coat on most furniture I make. The sample picture above is Milk Paint with an antiqued finish.

I build all my furniture like it would have been built two hundred years ago, with true mortise and tenon, dovetailed cases and drawers and even hand plane some products.

Columbia Step Back Hutch early american painted reproduction

48”Wide x 86”Tall x 20”Deep

I make this Painted Hutch in two pieces, the top and the bottom come apart and has a safety cleat on back to secure top to bottom. With a Chippendale inspired cutout base, H-Hinges, beaded frame and raised panel doors, this hutch is an exceptional example of an Early American Painted Hutch. Each piece is made one at a time. It can be made with glass doors or for a tv hutch with no shelves on top.

Painted in your choice of Milk Paint Colors, reference Real Milk Paint for color choices. Standard Colors I use is Slate Blue, Black, Red, Lily Pad Green.

Called a Cant Back Cupboard, this piece has a step-back top which is slanted backward. I make this in Pine Painted, Pine Stained, Cherry, Tiger Maple (call about other woods). I use both Milk paint with texture and Milk Paint with a smooth finish, ask about samples. You can see the brush strokes with the textured milk paint.
